About Us
The Pattern Cloud is the surface design industry’s leading provider of websites and business systems. Founded in 2017 by Tom Bambridge-Sutton and James Hartley of Gather No Moss, and Tracey Brown of Bay and Brown, it arose from a need to bring the surface design industry into the 21st century in a way that’s accessible to all.
While our founders had developed their own digital platforms years earlier, there were limits to working alone, not least of which were the huge costs of developing complex bespoke software solutions. They eventually realised that what they could achieve when combining their impressive 80+ years of industry experience would be far greater than when working alone. The results of their collaboration: The Pattern Cloud, a 360º digital solution for running a surface design business and website. By sharing the load, our founders were able to develop a complex, cutting-edge system available to all studios at a tiny fraction of the cost.
Since its inception, The Pattern Cloud has grown from a partnership between two studios into the industry standard for digital selling. With more studios joining by the day, our services are also drawing its people closer together. The sharing of knowledge and experience not only allows each studio to be a better business by themselves, but drives the industry as a whole to new, more innovative heights. May it continue to grow.
